Kit PVP

SLAYERPVP (KITPVP)

SlayerPVP is SoftSlayer's new kit PvP arena. Pick a kit, get dropped into the arena, and fight. Every kill earns XP and levels, kill streaks get announced, and your stats are tracked on the scoreboard. When you die you lose nothing: you respawn in the lobby and pick a kit again.

GETTING THERE

- Type /warp kitpvp to go to the KitPvP lobby.

- Everyone online sees a message when you join, for example "Steve has joined KitPvP!".

- While you're in the lobby without a kit, nobody can hurt you.

PICKING A KIT

- The lobby has a display for every kit, with a picture of what's in it and a sign underneath. Click the sign to take that kit.

- You're teleported straight into the arena at a random drop point, ready to fight.

- You can also open the kit menu with the chest in your hotbar, or with /kp menu.

- To look inside a kit without taking it, use /kp preview <kit>.

- To list every kit, use /kp kits.

THE KITS

Diamond kits

- Sword: full diamond armour and a diamond sword. Just you and a sword.

- Axe: full diamond armour, diamond sword, diamond axe, bow, crossbow, 8 arrows, a shield and some steak.

- Pot: full diamond armour and sword, plus a hotbar of splash potions (Instant Health II, Speed II, Strength II and Regeneration II) and golden carrots.

- Diamond_DV: full diamond armour, sword and axe, crossbow with 64 Weakness arrows, a spear, shield, XP bottles, golden carrots and splash potions (Instant Health II, Speed II, Strength II and Fire Resistance).

Netherite kits

- Neth_Pot: full netherite armour and sword, 2 Totems of Undying, golden apples, XP bottles and plenty of splash potions (Instant Health II, Speed II and Strength II).

- Neth_DV: the Diamond_DV kit in netherite, with a spare sword.

- SMP: full netherite armour, two swords and an axe, a Totem of Undying, golden apples, ender pearls, XP bottles, shield and splash potions (Speed II, Strength II and Fire Resistance). Set up like a typical SMP fight.

- Mace: full netherite armour, sword and axe, 2 maces, an elytra, wind charges, ender pearls, golden apples, 2 Totems of Undying, shield and splash potions (Speed II and Strength II).

Armour and weapons in the kits are enchanted. Use /kp preview <kit> to see exactly what each kit has.

FIGHTING

- Kill credit: if you hit someone and they die within 15 seconds (even from falling or the void), the kill is yours.

- Bow hits tell you how much health your target has left.

- Hunger, fall damage and item durability all work like normal survival.

- You can't break or place blocks, drop items or open chests in the arena.

DYING AND RESPAWNING

- Nothing drops when you die, so there's nothing to loot or lose.

- You'll see who killed you and how much health they had left.

- After a 5 second countdown you respawn in the lobby with an empty inventory. Pick a kit to go again.

LEVELS AND XP

- Every kill gives you 15 XP, and every death takes away 5.

- Every 100 XP is a level, up to level 100.

- Your level shows next to your name in KitPvP chat. The colour changes as you level up, and level 100 is shown in red.

KILL STREAKS

- At 3, 6 and 10 kills in a row, everyone is told you're on a streak (with a title on screen from 6).

- At 10 kills in a row you also get a gold ingot.

- When someone with a streak of 3 or more dies, everyone is told they lost it.

- Leaving KitPvP ends your streak.

STATS AND SCOREBOARD

While you're in KitPvP, the scoreboard on the right shows your kills, deaths, K/D ratio, level, XP and current kill streak.

- /kp stats shows your stats in chat.

LEAVING

- /kp spawn takes you back to the lobby after 5 seconds. Your kit is removed when you do this.

- To leave KitPvP, use the clock in your hotbar, or /spawn or /warp to go anywhere else.

PLAYER COMMANDS

/warp kitpvp Go to the KitPvP lobby

/kp menu Open the kit menu

/kp kits List every kit

/kp preview <kit> Look inside a kit without taking it

/kp stats Show your stats

/kp spawn Go back to the lobby (removes your kit)

/kp clear Remove your current kit

ABOUT SLAYERPVP

SlayerPVP is SoftSlayer's own version of the open-source KitPvP plugin (originally by Cervinakuy), updated for Minecraft 26.3. On top of the original, we added:

- Kits with potions now work on 26.3. In the original, any kit with certain potions (for example Strength II or long Fire Resistance) failed to load, and broke both picking and previewing it.

- Arena drop points: picking a kit teleports you straight into the arena, instead of having to walk in from the lobby.

- Fixes from the newer releases: stats saved safely, kill credit that expires, Bedrock players can pick kits, and fixes to the compass tracker and to TNT.
