Contests

Whether it be a deadly PvP Contest; a creative Building contest; or anything you can think of in between; you'll be able to find a way to satisfy your competitiveness on SoftSlayer. Historically, some of the most exciting moments of the server's history has been during a magical contest.

Build Contests

SoftSlayer hosts 4-5 Building Contests a year, usually themed around the four seasons. More information can be found here.

Hub Contests

The Hub is a great place for players to host mini-game contests in the "Mini Game" section of the Hub. There's no telling what can be hosted with the imagination of the community.

Player Run Contests

SoftSlayer has a great history of player run contests. Spleef, PVP, Writing, Sumo, Banner Making, Building, Meme Making, just to name a few! It's one of the beauties of having a tight-knit community like SoftSlayer's. You're able to host anything and have everyone enjoy the process and results.

How can you host?

Hosting a contest is incredibly easy. Write up your best description of the event and post it on Discord in the community-events forum. Make sure to spread the word and get as much hype as you can for the contest. Ask a staff member if you can get an Ad posted in the Hub!

Tip: Most contests that fail only fail because players don't know it exists!

PVP Contests

It's been a long time since SoftSlayer has hosted a PVP Tournament. But there are some epic videos on the SS Youtube that showcase the last ones!

Writing Contests

Writing Contests date back to the 1.6~ era of SoftSlayer, when the Library really started to spring forth. Writing Contests are usually player hosted and you can find more information here.
