The Hub

The Hub is an area that provides access to other locations and gamemodes on SoftSlayer. There are also various unique rewards and games that can be found in the Hub.

Hub Features

AFK Park

The AFK Park is an area in which players earn rewards for AFKing in.

By staying within the bounds of the AFK Park for 15 minutes, players earn three AFK Tokens. The AFK Token countdown is shown above the experience bar. These tokens can be used as currency at Fred the AFK Vendor's shop.

The central area of the Hub consists of the AFK Park. The town square and apartments are within this area - the boat track that encompasses this area marks the outer bound of the AFK Park.

Apartments

Apartments are within the bounds of the AFK park. In other words, if a player AFKs in their apartment, they gain rewards for AFKing.

Apartments can be rented by right-clicking the sign above their respective entryways. Rent is $10k for 30 days for most apartments. Corner apartments, however, cost $20k for 30 days. A player can pay for a maximum of 32 days of rent at any time. Rent can be extended by right-clicking the sign.

Hub Merchants

The current merchants are as follows:

Hub Vendor - A permanent vendor that sells items regarding the activities found in the hub.

Spring Vendor - A temporary vendor that sells spring-themed lored cosmetic items. This vendor will rotate out seasonally.

Hubert - A temporary vendor that sells fish-related items.

Mini-Game Arena

The Mini-Game Arena is an area in which players can participate in both player-hosted and staff-hosted minigames.

Players can press buttons along the back wall to begin leaf spleef and snow spleef. Shovels and shears are also available for $70.

Mini-Game Tournaments are staff-hosted events. These tournaments will have have prizes, such as a complete lore token for the first-place winner. Depending on staff availability, players may sponsor a tournament by providing prizes.

Boat Race Track

Warps

The warps in the Hub lead to the following area:

Fishing World - A peaceful world dedicated to fishing. Uses a custom resource pack for dozens of new varieties of fish, and uses a plugin for fishing mini-games.

Death Valley - A deadly PVP world. High-risk, high-reward. Contains enchanted items unique to Death Valley.

Creative - A 10k x 10k flatworld, free to players to show off their creative building skills.

ClassPVP - A gamemode where players can use kits to show off their PVP skills.

Slayer Circuit - An intense boat-racing track.

Post Office - An area where players can send and receive mail.

Hide and Seek - A gamemode in which players disguise as blocks to hide from a "seeker".

Survival - The main gamemode of SoftSlayer: a survival world.

Library - A repository of stories that players have submitted to SoftSlayer over its lifespan.

Marketplace - An area for players to buy and sell items.

Parkour - Dozens of parkour courses with trophies.
